Wakako Mizuki

image/data/author/wakako_mizuki.jpg Born on March 22, Wakako Mizuki's works were originally published in Ribon (Shueisha), and then in Bouquet from the late 1970s on. In 1981, she won the prestigious Seiun Award for 1979's Tree Spirits and its 1980 follow-up Legend.
Her best-known work is Itihasa, which also won the Seiun Award in 2000.

Outside of manga, she is a qualified teacher of the Koryu-Shoteiha school of traditional Japanese flower arranging.
