image/data/author/mito_orihara.jpg Born January 27. In 1985, Mito Orihara made her debut as an artist of girls' manga in Kadokawa Shoten's ASUKA magazine. She later made her debut as a novelist in 1987 with TOKIMEKIJIDAI TSUMASAKIDACHI NO KISETSU:
-Age of Heartbeats Season of Tiptoes-, published by Poplar Publishing.
Her 1991 novel TOKINOKAGAYAKI-Glimmers of Time- was a best seller, selling over 1,100,000 copies.

In addition to manga and novels, she is prolific in other fields as well, including essays, picture books, poetry collections, photo essays, recipe books, and CDs.
